Self Esteem

How we feel about ourselves is composed of several interconnecting factors. These elements include our values and beliefs, our past life experiences, and how we perceive we are being treated and viewed by others. At times, your self-esteem may suffer due to healthy boundaries not being set, and you may lose sight of your personal strengths and attributes. An inability to recognize your own personal self-worth can inadvertently lead to situations and relationships where you feel devalued and disrespected, and you feel unable to create positive change.  As you lose confidence in your abilities, you may find yourself relinquishing control of your life choices to others.

The counsellors at Viewpoint Counselling Psychology will assist you to identify what is meaningful to you, what brings joy to your life and what nurtures you. Setting healthy boundaries will empower you as you build a stronger sense of self.  As you come to identify and believe in yourself, you will be better equipped to set and follow your own path.
