Diana Gudim

Diana Gudim is a Registered Psychologist.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Diana’s past work experiences in acute, geriatric, and clinical nursing gave her the opportunity to support her patients as they managed their health issues.  She recognized the mind/body connection and how one’s mental and emotional state influenced overall health and well-being.  This reinforced her belief in the intrinsic power of every individual to make positive changes in their lives.

Diana uses Humanistic and Solution Focused therapeutic approaches, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  Diana has studied issues in psycho-therapy specific to grief & loss, groups, child and adolescent development, and the neuropsychopathology of addictions. Diana has also done extensive research in the area of chronic illness and disability. Her personal family history of multi-generational chronic disability brings insight and understanding to her work with individuals and families facing the continual adjustment and uncertainties inherent to chronic illness.

Diana brings wisdom and extensive life experience to her professional practice having filled many roles as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. Diana’s warmth, kindness, compassion, and humor are well received and appreciated by her clients.  Her passion for cooking, nutrition, and healthy eating is often evident around the office and enjoyed by Viewpoint’s participants in group therapy!
